Ok Foodies, my anniversary is coming up and I need some romantic restaurant

suggestions. My plan for the evening is to go out for a nice dinner and then go to the Ritz Carlton and hear Jeremy Davenport play after having dinner. She wants to see Wicked when it comes so my gift will be tickets to go see the show when it comes to NOLA.
I would prefer restaurants that are within walking distance to the Ritz Carlton so I can just park the car once and not have to worry about it.
So, what can y'all suggest for me that we'll enjoy. We like all types of food bascially. We're very adventurous and at least once per year we like to treat ourselves (normally for our anniversary celebrations) to a high quality dining experience. Therefore, for this money really isn't a factor.

August is about a 6 block walk from there. It may be over priced, but it's 1st class.

I would just park and get a taxi and not limit myself to just restaurants within walking distance.

Bayona, August, or Herbsaint are three I would suggest.

Bayona
Only two and a half blocks. Ask to sit in the courtyard.

The new Dominique's on Magazine opened yesterday. Their old location was fantastic and the pictures I've seen of the new dining room look amazing.

Seriously though I vote for Bayona as well. I recommend the quail salad for starters

This.
If you can't get in there, try Le Foret.

I think Bayona is a fine rec, but I'd also say Stella as well if you're doing this thing up. I'd also consider Lilette.

Within a 15 minute walk is
Mr B's
Nola
GW Fins
Antoine's
If you've never been to Commander's I'd say take a cab and do that.
August, Herbsaint, Emeril's are all good too. You can't really go wrong with any of the places everyone is posting.

excellent list
Rue 127 is 2nd on the excellent list? I enjoy the restaurant but it's like eating in a tanning bed. Guess it was the shaming from that suggestion that promted his exit.

Have you already tried Stella!? It's in the FQ and a bit of a walk, but a cab wouldn't be a big deal.

I was thinking this also. It's attached to a hotel.... FYI

IMO, I had one of the best dinners in NOLA at Stella. Chefs tasting menu only with optional wine pairing. If you do the 7 course with pairing expect to spend 500-600$ easily on the two of you. Restaurant August as well is first class but I would pick Stella. Did it last year in may and it was a top notch dinner. Service can be a little pretentious for some people with the white glove service and everything, but i highly enjoyed to clockwork routine of their presentation. It's not very big though, they hold your CC for the reservation in case of cancellation and there is a fee if you cancel last minute, and may be tough to get in.

Why what an excellent list! I think I'll try them in non-sequential order just for fun!
