Best show on TV IYAM. Like any other ongoing story line, if you start in the middle it will take a while to get up to speed on who's who. Give it some time.

I thought the first episode might have introduced too many character flaws such as them having thoughts about defecting. However I like the tone of the show, and their married relationship swinging between just cover and love is very intriguing. This show has a lot of potential, and I'm glad I decided to start watching it.

@OceanMan, I think each and every episode has been very strong but you def need to watch the pilot. It will clear a whole lot of shite up.

Who is the guy they keep talking about and what did he do after Reagan was shot? Al Haig?

Haig was the Secretary of State. I think at the time of the shooting Bush wasn't in Washington so he was kind of running the Executive office for the time being.

What did Philip say if Moscow ever finds out what they are finished?

The intelligence they had from the recording about Haig and the nuclear codes.

To add to the other post, Haig was a former general so when he said he was running things I guess the Russians thought he may taking over things to start a war with the Russians.

Yeah. I thought it was interesting the way they showed it from their perspective. Someone that grew up with the Soviet way of thinking could easily assume that. Our differences in the way things were done probably made for faulty assumptions from both sides and got us closer to WW3 than anyone would really like to think more often than anyone would really like to think.
