Can't afford and we already have a Wes Welker lite on the team.

We have greater needs than another receiver. Welker made 9.5 mil last year and apparently New England doesn't think he's worth the 11 million dollar franchise tag. But somebody will pick him up, undoubtedly. It just won't be the Saints.

Unless I'm wrong.

Which is always possible.

Brady's cap figure this year is 21.5 million. That's a factor in this.

What does Welker bring to the table that Lance Moore doesn't? Drops in big games? No thanks. I'll stick with Lance.

Moore can actually catch the ball in key situations.

Can't wait for Welker to play for some mediocre team. Going to enjoy watching people in my fantasy leagues waste an early draft pick on him

This.

Welker has been suspect since the BIG drop in the playoffs last year (or the year before).

Just wanted to get it out of the way before someone brings up the one ball he dropped all season

lance moore has dropped his fair share of "easy" catches.

I can still remember watching two wide open drops in the endzone this past season

Don't need. Pass on the receiver.

Didn't one of those end up costing Brees the consecutive td streak? It was in his hands at/near the goal line vs the Falcons, I think.
