At the rate the Tigers are winning, I could see them slipping into the NCAA tourney. Games remaining: Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Missouri and AM.

Alabama is probably the toughest game left. Missouri and AM a probably wins. Two wins in the SEC tourney with a strong regular season finish could be enough.

I think LSU would need to win the SEC tourney to get an NCAA this year...

That thing just projected us as an 8 seed for the NIT. I hope you're aware of this, but that's the last seed.

Sneaking into the NIT and sneaking into the NCAA are two different things.

How do they have us as an 8 seed just like USC who is 2 games under .500?

We will be lucky to beat either Mizzou or A&M on the road. We have a much better shot at beating Bama at home than either of those two.

That being said, if we won out we'd still miss the NCAA tourney IMO. But it is possible that we can make a run in the SEC tourney and hopefully pull the Auto-bid by winning it of course.

Strength of schedule. USC #26, LSU #140

Yea, at 23-9 (14-7), if we win 2 SEC tourney games and win out, I would guess we would have 3 quality wins or so with 2 bad losses I would guess our RPI would be around 60, so we could potentially be a bubble team.

If USC's record wasn't so atrocious I could accept that reasoning.

I don't think South Carolina is going to finish with a winning record.

They lost to better teams than we lost to.

Alabama is #2 in the SEC. LSU has already beaten Missouri and Texas A&M. I don't understand why you see it differently.

They're going to finish the season with a losing record. Don't care who they lost to.

We've beaten better teams than them.

We have better wins, they have better losses. Which one do you think decides the outcome more?

At home. Huge difference between home and road games.

Current SEC standings

Ole Miss and Alabama > Missouri and Texas A&M

4 out of 6 would put LSU at 19 wins plus two tourney wins would be 21-10.

We should've beaten Bama on the road earlier this year if some calls would've been made/changed. Us playing at home gives us a huge advantage in that one

We have only won 2 games on the road in the SEC. One at the buzzer to the worst team in State and a blowout over terrible USCe. I agree we are playing some good ball right now, but we haven't beaten anyone with a pulse on the road this season really. If we beat Tennessee tomorrow then I'll feel much more confident. But right now those games are far from "probably wins"
