The Official " I was wrong on a specific recruit " Thread O' Shame.

It is true that I long-ago proclaimed Drayton Calhoun to be the next great Tiger.
And I tragically erred on Rocky Duplessis solely because I liked his name.
Having been cast into the Recruiting Abyss, how long must I wander in the wilderness?
Have I not suffered long enough ?
Am I not a man who bleeds the same as you ?
Am I an animal?
Where is the humanity ?
O the humanity !
The shame !
The shame !

I'm from Ga, thought Calhoun was going to at least be a return specialist.
I also was really high on Gore.
But LSU staid the course as a program that kills running backs.
I also thought no way Claiborne doesn't play offense with how nasty his videos were.

I thought John Williams was going to blow up.
It happens to coaches who get paid hundreds of thousands to several million a year to do it - I guess we shouldn't feel so bad.

Since this is a confession thread, I'll go ahead and say it. I was excited for our future at QB with JJ after seeing him in HS.

I thought Xavier Carter would be an All-American...WRONG
I thought Chris Davenport would be the next Dorsey...WRONG
I thought Jarrett Lee could be another Brett Favre...WRONG
I thought Russell Shepard would be a special QB...WRONG
I laughed when Jacob Hester committed and said he would never get past the practice squad...WRONG
I'm sure there are at least a dozen more in recent history that prove that I don't know anything, but that is why I don't get paid to recruit.
