Don't know if allowed but this article about Cam and how coaching decisions are made is pretty good reading.

Very good read. I read it on DD. CC's ravens O was always in the top half of the NFL! Think of what he will do on the college level !

[quote][quote]What exactly happened? I sought some opinions from some Baltimore sources. Bruce Raffel of the SB Nation Ravens site Baltimore Beatdown was good enough to offer his: If you ask most Baltimore Ravens fans, former offensive coordinator Cam Cameron should have been the former offensive coordinator a lot sooner than after week 14 of the 2012 regular season. Most fans were calling for his head after the end of the 2011-12 season, as his play-calling seemed to be too predictable and was reported to be part of the reason QB Joe Flacco's progress was not nearly what fans thought it should have been at this point of his career. Rumors floated about friction between the two on the amount of leeway Flacco had to call audibles and Cameron's apparent reluctance to put more on Joe's "plate." You know it has to be scary when we sat in our seats at Ravens games and called out the plays before the ball was snapped, thinking that if we knew the plays, then what about the opposition? Most people don't think it was a coincidence that when Jim Caldwell took over as offensive coordinator, Flacco's performance changed dramatically as he led the team on a run that ended with a Super Bowl victory.
In other words its about to be MORE of the same bullshite!!! Are we dillusional? Baltimore has always been a defensive team! A lot of their scoring came from defensive turnovers! though the Chargers consistently posted 14-2 & 13-3 records they could never win the big game, conference championship! You guys will be calling for this characters head shortly! I give it three seasons maybe even four!
I rely don't feel good about this hire...I will sit back and watch tho!!

People like to conveniently forget that Joe Flacco was a rookie out of Delaware and started from game one as a rookie. Yes, there were growing pains but he was developed very similarly to Drew Brees and Philip Rivers.
People can blame Cam if they wish, and conveniently forget that they went to the AFC title game three times in five years and won a boat load of games, but maybe with another coordinator Flacco doesn't develop at all and becomes yet another quarterback that never makes it at all.
Cameron had Brees, Rivers, and Flacco in their development stage and they have all developed into above average starters in the NFL.
The Ravens set the franchise record for most points and fewest turnovers this year. Cameron coached 13 of those 16 games.

Drew Brees said that Cam Cameron was a big part of his success and helped him become the QB he is today. I think I will wait and see.

Who would you have hired if you were King for a day?
Posted on 2/12/13 at 11:15 am to Brbengal
This is exactly what I have been saying to certain negatigers who else would you have hired.
Someone with a ton of Offensive production at the pro level coming down to college to help develop and enhance our pro style offense. Sounds like a no brainer.
And I am very glad he is close to Miles, helps with chemistry on the staff and trust factor that Miles will leave more of it in Cams hands.

I think this is being overstated by a lot of people because they won the Super Bowl. At the very least, his stats don't support this supposed change in performance.

its not my statements that you are disagreeing with its Bruce Raffel of the SB Nation Ravens site Baltimore Beatdown

this is not an issue of offensive scheme, its an issue of offensive PLAY CALLING...we needed to hire someone with the ability to call plays with fluidity

why did you leave out the positive opinions??
just curious.
edit: also, what did you hear from all the tenn fans when chavis was hired?

You know, if I was watching a New England game, I could call "pass to Welker" every time and be right 33% of the time. Or I could guess "pass to the tight end" and be right 50%.
