| Cam Cameron Statistical Breakdown (Posted on 2/8/13 at 3:54 pm)
This is vyvanse and procrastination at work I keep seeing posts saying that he failed in the NFL which I don't believe to be true. He is extremely well respected in the NFL. His teams put points on the board. Total Offense / Scoring Offense San Diego (2002-2006) 2002- 16 / 20 2003- 14 / 16 2004- 10 / 3 2005- 10 / 5 2006- 4 / #1 (30.8 PPG, next closest was Chicago and Indy 26.7) Dolphins - Head Coach (2007) 2007- 28 / 26 Trent Green was injured forcing Cleo Lemon and John Beck to play QB Baltimore Ravens (2008-2012) 2008- 19 / 18 2009- 13 / 9 2010- 22 / 16 2011- 15 / 12 2012- 16 / 10 averaged 25.5ppg before getting let go after week 14. They finished with 24.9 for the season. I think his Ravens numbers are very good given the division he's coached in and the fact that the ravens have had a pretty damn good defense which tend to hurt offensive rankings. He was the OC when Drew Brees broke onto the scene in 2004. He was the OC who developed Flacco. 2 Super Bowl winners, a 1st ballot HOFer, and a potential HOF (not even close yet)

This is a solid hire. If anybody says otherwise, they are foolish. We are not trying to be Oregon. He brings years of NFL experience to our program. He also brings balance. His teams could run and throw well. This is exactly what we needed. You don't sit around and smell farts and stay in the NFL for 11 years.

Also, his teams were in the TOP FRICKING 10 in the NFL nearly every year in Total rushing yards. Solid

The fact that CC was a professional OC at more than one team with success at each means everything. Give me an NFL OC over any other college OC, any day of the week.

"In my mind, he is definitely going to get a ring. He deserves a ring." John Harbaugh on Cam Cameron after Superbowl. Its a good hire.

To be fair, the exact opposite is true. He stopped using the no-huddle, which irked Flacco, because it worked earlier in the season. Most thought he was TOO conservative

yeah Caldwell brought it back and Flacco liked it. read an article also where Flacco was happy with Caldwell taking more shots downfield, and how he preferred mixing that in with the long drives they always seemed to try under Cam. no knock on Cam, I like the hire. just some things I'd seen/ read from the Ravens.

Chewing clock to protect a lead, giving offenses short fields so they can't rack up a lot of yards...

Agreed. We needed a person with presence and command to come in and run the offense. Miles is a great CEO of the program and that's what we need him to be. Now, if that will happen, it remains to be seen, but I don't think Miles would hire this guy at the high amount he's sure to make if he had no plans to let him do his thing. If Miles wants a puppet he can get one for much cheaper, so it seems like a good hire.

The Ravens lost two of their final three games of the regular season after Cameron was let go, but then went on their four-game run to the Super Bowl title. LINK

Par for the course. Ever since Les got here it's been all wins are because of someone else, and all losses are because of him.

It is a home run hire. No more timid "deer in the headlights" offense. They will be effective, efficient and intimidating. Teams will no longer be able to read our tendencies like a book. I'm beyond wired about the hire.

To be fair this wasnt always the case. Some times the defense wins. Some great offenses have looked like shite playing against LSU, and some bad ones looked good at times.
