Yea, magazine...word of mouth.

I also hear there were these things called letters which were sort of papery emails and newspapers which were sort of like papery blogs.

Listen to Max Emfinger on WWL, then later Bill King on Jimmy Ott's show!

I don't really follow twitter or faceballs, but my dad had a tiger rag subscription that I'd read for most of my LSU info before I found out about TD. I also used Dandy Don a lot for recruiting before TD's recruiting board took off.

I've been reading/posting on TD for nearly 10 years though, so it's hard to recall what I was doing at 14 years old.

Before hightech, I took Tiger Rag, BR paper, N.O. paper, and WWL at night about 6 to 8, that was it.

Yeah, if a kid wasn't an early commit, it was kind of wake up after NSD and figure out what happened.

How long has TD been around? I first started following recruiting on the internet during the fall of '97 leading to the '98 signing class. Tigerroar and Tigerbait were my main sources. Still a member of TR, but quit paying the the Rivals guys(Bama homers).

I remember tracking Rivals throughout the day back in 2003. Followed Marquise Hill all year. He was my introduction to trolling.

DandyDon. Forrest Davis and Jeff Whittaker recruiting annuals. Living here in the metro Atl area, always depended on newspapers. Advocate super dozen, AJC super southern 100. I was shown a Jeff Whittaker recruiting magazine when we signed Faulk, McFarland, & my life was changed forever. I began following recruiting and it has been a hinderance and a blessing.

Before TD the Tiger's Lair (tigerroar.com) was the big relevant board, they lost prominence when they went pay a year or two before TD came around. But that board went back to about the mid 90s and had some good recruiting rumors here and there.

Having moved to Texas, Tiger Rag magazine meant everything before the internet...but today, when you can get info on a moment's notice, waiting several days is no longer relevant...

Yeah, I read tigerroar and DandyDon a lot. It;'s a whole new world now with the paysites, and not all in a good way.
