I love Cherundolo and everything he's done for the US, but I'm really hoping we get to see Chandler and Fabian start a game together.

Like I said, I fully recognize what Cherundolo has done for the US over the years, and the last thing I want to do is disparage him, but I don't agree with you. I think Chandler is probably a better option at this point.

Ehh, when you think about it. It's best to wait until after this weekends games. It won't distract the fringe players and you never know what could happen.
However, I'm sure he knows who he wants now and we would like that insight so when can throw out 500 formations that he would never use.

I don't know that Cherundolo and/or Bocanegra have enough in the tank to GO to Brazil in 2014, but I do believe they have enough to GET us to Brazil 2014.
Two different needs, two different occasions.
Both have proven enough and have a high enough baseline (i.e not like Gooch, who has had some really good and really bad showings) that they've earned the right to play until an "Agoos moment" occurs.

are you talking about dolo and chandler still? dolo usually captains the team and only has played (slightly) less bc of injury/age. nurnberg is also most definitely not a better club than h96, unless we are talking about decades ago.
edit: i do prefer chandler and think he's currently better than dolo, fwiw

Hasn't Chandler been playing some holding mid for club?
Since I'm not big on Zusi (he's nice, but also meh), I wouldn't mind seeing, when healthy, a Chander or Johnson on the wing and Dolo/whoever's left as fullbacks.
I haven't watched enough lately to know whether that's a terrible suggestion or not, though.

Chandler playing holding mid would be news to me. I think he's a fairly gifted player going forward but I think he'd be frustrating as a winger. I'd rather Fabian on the wing than Chandler but I'd rather them both as fullbacks.

Stewie no offense but those suggestions are pretty dumb lol.
I think Dolo will go to brazil and probly Boca, I don't see either starting, Dolo would spell Timmy Chandler, I see Boca going as a veteran, leader role.

i've seen this posted here before and not sure where it originated. he's never been listed at DM/CM on the official lineups and the 5 or 6 nurnberg matches i've watched he was strictly a RB. though in a pinch him on the RW with Dolo at RB would still make me happy
