Shelton's too stupid to understand that it's the old fart record execs who are responsible for him being where he is in the first place. It's not that he's talented, it's that the old dudes and their focus groups identified what the unsophisticated masses like and groomed him to provide it.
If he was some cutting edge artist, he'd be driving from club to club and putting his music out on an independent label.

Check out Band of Heathens at Waka. Straight old school country blues with some modern influences. They have more talent than most popular country musicians these days
