Yes, because people and pets end up missing and are later found to be eaten by extremely rare cougars all the time. You have a better chance of Russians parachuting in and invading America and you joining a resistance group made up of friends...

I lived in colorado springs for a year and in some places around the mountains they did have pets go missing from cougars

i live in south mississippi now and although we saw one when we first moved out here, we havent seen or heard of one since

Im pretty sure its not that uncommon for human pet livestock/ cougar encounters in the mid west areas

Back in the day I use to slay cougars on Bluebonnet at the Cadillac café on the regular. No fines or punishment as of yet.
