I have a Hobie Outback but it's a grand more than what you are looking for. I got it for leg exercise and hands free fishing.

boatsnhose, may I make a suggestion? Perception always makes the 'year later' version of wilderness systems. you can find it cheaper that way, new. however, craiglist is the way to go. you can repair almost any boat.....check this out we fixed this boat with a 16 inch gash.....brooks falls. I have never seen a boat "taco-ed" like this one but we went the rest of the 27 mile trip....awesome taco'ed commander at the 3:10 mark...."ah, your boat's folded bro"

Some friends and I have wanted to set up a float/paddle overnight or two night trip where we can haul some kayaks (s.o.t. fishing) up river, drop a truck off at the end of the route, and paddle down and camp on sand bars. We live in southeast La. Any spots around here (miss, al, east tex) that we could do this?

Wilderness Tarpon 120 SOT is pretty much what you're looking for.

You'd definitely prefer a stretch with some current to it. Check out "the ghost yakers" on facebook. they do it all the time. they have launched on the edisto, new, catawba and pee dee rivers at midnight. found a place to camp, wake up and do it again.

uhhhh, gee thanks. and i understand that. just giving you expamples of rivers with current to them, so you aren't paddling all day to go 6 miles.
