Been wanting a kayak for awhile, just trying to decide what type would be good for me. Sit in (SINK) or Sit on (SOTS).
My brother has a fishing kayak, and i'm sure i'll be doing some fishing with him, but i want one to take out on the lakes for the weekend, every now and then, and just cruise around.
Any suggestions?
The new Ocean Kayak Torque's look nice. They have a little trolling motor that comes with it.

this might be the best kayaks for hunting and fishing out there. Got a camo one for duck hunting and is money.

He shows up every paddle board mention.
Native Ultimate gets my vote! Of course, I am biased as that is what I have now.
I have had a Ride 135 and now the Ultimate tandem, and while I have liked both I think the Ultimate works great for my son and I.
There is a 14.5 solo Ultimate on CL right now for a decent price, and you could probably get him down a bit. Ultimate

gaston has an outdoor board/paddleboard google alert. he has not commented yet, i fear the worst!
that's not bad for that native. my neighbor has one and it's really nice. if i had a place to store it, i'd consider making a move.
this thread gave me the itch, gonna do a thibodaux to raceland paddle down bayou lafourche tomorrow...
