3. Otto Porter - Everyone knows SF is arguably the biggest need. Well, unfortunately, this years SF class is terrible. Poythress is just not very good. McDermott is far, far too white. McAdoo is garbage. Porter is the best SF available. I haven't watch Georgetown yet this year but I plan to soon, but from reading and watching some scout videos on him, I see a lot of Iguodala with him. Solid but nothing special on offense, but seems to play very good D and passes very well for being 6'8". Also I see us ending up with something around 6-10 for our pick, which is about exactly where Porter might fall.
Iguodola is an elite athlete. Porter is far from that. He's an okay athlete, not a great one, though Porters athleticism and shooting ability are the two question marks. But I like the kid still. He fills up the stat sheet. And Ben McLemore ain't going to be around when the Pelican pick, too. Unless they crack the top-3 of the lottery.

This dude is cool under pressure. When he leads his deep Kansas team to the title game, he guarantees that top spot. Some experts agree. Mc @ 1

You already have Anderson who is two inches taller than McDermott and rebounds better.

McLemore is going top 5, if not higher.

Shit, he might go number-1. Everything I've seen has him going top-3 right now.

I think it's pretty close between him and Shabazz as to who is the best prospect. The bigs will get overvalued, that's why I said top 5 but McLemore has been awesome.

Anyone ever seen Bennett from UNLV play? Not sure if he could really play any SF, although he does look athletic enough, and he would be a pretty undersized PF, at a position we're pretty deep at, but the film on the guy is really impressive. Dude looks like a gamer. Wouldn't mind grabbing him mid lottery.

Bennett's a player. He'll be a top-5 pick, too. I'm on the Otto Porter bandwagon, though. And as you pointed out, he could be available when the Pelicans pick. Should go in the 7-10 range. Like I said, not a great athlete, not a a great shooter. But, Porter does a lot of things that helps his team win. Rebounds well, blocks shots and create steals. Not completely blind with the ball in hands (Shabazz).

Bennett is legit. Best player in the draft based on the guys I have watched. I thought he could play SF but the more I watch him the more Im convinced he's a PF. He's too big to be a SF. Funny, he reminds me of his UNLV brethren Larry Johnson. As far as a guy in the league now, he reminds me of Paul Millsap

I like him better than any of the centers. He's got a 7+ foot wingapan and is an elite athlete, wouldn't consider him too undersized in today's NBA. I'm with the wise guy though, he goes top 5.

I see him being polished into a great sf, but superhero strong. Kinda looks to have the build of a shaq or zack randolph.

I guess I'm gone. Some new guy said my "act" is tired, that must mean I should stop what I'm doing and respect its feelings.

Juju and Henry weren't even good in college. I still don't know what people see/saw in them. The fact they are in the NBA boggles my mind. So, you're 6'7", don't play good defense, literally cannot make a jump shot from anywhere on the court, suck at free throws, are too stupid and spastic to get to the goal and finish, and at no point in either of their careers as amateurs or pros, has shown otherwise. Pondexter hasn't been doing too bad in Memphis, he's not a starter, but a good bench player. Aminu is Juju and Henry, except he plays defense and hustles his arse off, and is not as stupid spastic as juju. The way he's playing right now, I have no problem with him, just wish he could get that moonball shot a bit more practice and be able to be a threat from 3. I say give our first round pick away and pick up a legit 3 somewhere.

who is the legit three thats out there for a mid lottery pick in a weak draft? :nb4iggy: everyone wants a scoring 3, but with a healthy roster this has been a top 10 offense this year. if aminu continues playing like this, you resign him. work on his shot all summer- if vasquez can learn to shoot, so can al. then sign one of dunleavy/budinger/brewer as competition and depth. draft bpa
