I don't know anybody my age who knows. If I did I'd be mooching trips off them left and right

This probably doesn't help any of y'all, but the cops are shooting radar everywhere on 90 west towards Houma right now.

Is a drop shot essentially the same thing as a Carolina rig?
Posted on 1/18/13 at 11:57 am to PapaPogey
No! A drop shot is normally fished vertically and the weight is on the bottom allowing the hook and bait to be about a foot above that. Carlolina rig the weight is in front and both drag the bottom.
Posted on 1/18/13 at 11:58 am to PapaPogey
No, drop shot suspends, think vertical fishiing. C-rig just trails the weight.

you don't necessarily have to fish it vertically, you can play with "leader" lengths and cast it, drag it, shake it, while working it back to the boat

there's areas in the spillway that you can get into with a bass boat when the water's coming up that you can't normally (with other than a jump boat or godevil) hefty stringers to be caught when that happens, i'm kinda lookin forward to it
