I just read the thread about the guys plans for NOLA this weekend. And he was asking for some recommendations.

What does the OT think is the most over-rated rastaurant?

My vote is Mothers. Its a tourist trap and has mediocre food at best.

This is definitely one of the most overrated, can't believe people wait in line for breakfast.

Nah, it is a little over priced and not worth the wait, but the food is actually not bad. I ain't going, but people can do much worse in the city.

By far the winner of this award is Brennans. It has been hot garbage for at least 5 years now. Damn near bankrupt from what I hear.
It saddens me that tourist come to down and spend $150 per couple or more for dinner and around $100 per couple for breakfast here. Sucks.

Runner up is
Court of Two Sisters

There's a whole board on this website that lives for giving people NOLA restaurant recommendations, to say nothing to the N.O. Restaurant Guide linked to on the TD homepage.

Most over-rated on this board is Clancy's. I love it, and I think it is very good, but Patois is right up the street...

I'd argue that the food at Galatoire's is under-rated if anything.

I'm not a fan of Camellia Grill, especially given how long the line can often get

Not highly rated, but Oceana is the worst place I was ever forced to go to. Will absolutely never eat there, again.

I thought Deanies was pretty overrated when I visited Nola. It was good, but it was more about the quantity than the quality of the food that made it memorable.

I hear the one outside the Quarter is better though.
