What evidence is there that he wasn't doping while racing tris?

Because he was winning tris up until a few months ago. In fact, his victory came while his doping investigation was ongoing. I think it's safe to assume that a 41 year old Lance, with nothing really to gain from winning, wasn't doping while an investigation into his past doping use was ongoing.

SI published two pretty comprehensive articles in the last few months that essintially, at least IMHO, debunked what remained of the rationalizations by Armstrong and his camp.

The sport was/is rampant with blood doping and creative cheating of all sorts and to think Armstrong was winning at that level cleanly is pretty ridiculous.

I doubt he was doping for races like Superfrog after all the USADA stuff went down, but when he was shooting for Kona and was seriously training I wouldn't be surprised if he was.

Before he got back into triathlon, his first emails were to Michele Ferrari's son

CNN did a documentary on Armstrong and doping allegations awhile back. Left no doubt he did it - none.

I saw that too and I agree.

All the "I've been tested more than any human alive and never found cheating" was pretty difinitively shown to be smoke and mirrors by that documentary and the SI articles.

Cycling needs to come clean. It is basically like bodybuilding.

Can't be. If cycling were like bodybuildig, nobody would care. One is part and parcel with the sport...it's understood you can't get that big naturally.

Cycling will never tacitly admit this because you don't NEED to blood dope to cycle - times won't be as impressive but it's not a requirement for the sport to exist.

Plenty have cheated and not used their success for important things such as cancer.
Cheater is fine to say but I don't get the people that think livestrong or the.bracelets were all terrible. Even if you bought them thinking he was clean your money still went to a great cause.

Al Capone gave out Christmas hams to poor people.

Not that I'm comparing Armstrong to Capone, but an old family story goes:

My sister-in-laws Dad grew up in Chicago. Used to sell papers when he was a young boy. Was out one night at the age of 9 selling papers in the freezing Chicago winter. Al Capone bought all his papers and sent him home to his family.

Probably a big article in the paper about Capone that he didn't want everyone reading.

You don't NEED to do steroids to build muscle. Physiques would not be as impressive but they could get big with diet and lifting only.

Why is that safe to assume? The guy is a pathological liar and there is so much dope on the market that is impossible to test for.

The bigger question is will he quite being a douchebag to honest guys like Tyler Hamilton and Flloyd Landis

He's been a douchebag since he's been a kid, leaving a trail of mess behind him fricking over almost everyone who has helped him. He's selfish and I don't think he has the ability to change.

Few people even know what theyre Livestrong money went to. Most people have had the wool pulled over their eyes for years thinking it went to cancer research. Meanwhile, Lance buys jets and uses Livestrong money to travel the world, race and raise awareness for cancer.

If Lance couldn't personally benefit, there would be no Livestrong

Why does he want to restore his career? He's not going to win if he's not doping.

Because he's been banned from even competing in marathons, triathlons and local 5K's and 10K's just for recreational purposes. Also, a lot of retired European cyclists have come clean recently and are encouraging the whole peleton to come clean.
