quote:

Lance Armstrong, who this fall was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles for doping and barred for life from competing in all Olympic sports, has told associates and antidoping officials that he is considering publicly admitting that he used banned performance-enhancing drugs and blood transfusions during his cycling career, according to several people with direct knowledge of the situation. He would do this, the people said, because he wants to persuade antidoping officials to restore his eligibility so he can resume his athletic career.

Meh, they were all doping, he just did it the best, and beat cancer in the meanwhile. No need to apologize.

Well shite - I am done with him if he does.

Hell, I am done with him if he doesn't.

I really admired that man - thought he was a true specimen of fitness and training.

I hate drugs of all sorts.

In the good old days this was unthinkable.

Why does he want to restore his career? He's not going to win if he's not doping.

Restore his career means major ad campaigns with Lever 2000. What better representative?

He was caught riding dirty. No need to keep the issue alive.

I think there is some shame when you lied repeatedly about it.

False. He was doing very well in triathlons right up till his lifetime ban. Even had a 1st place finish in a half ironman

What evidence is there that he wasn't doping while racing tris? WTC testing is basically worthless and it was clear that Lance knew how to beat even the best testing procedures

I'd still love to watch him race in Kona
