But then again if the players don't block/throw well/get open why is it the play callings fault? Maybe we should get more work done during practice because if we practice to dominate we would dominate. However, I don't believe our team practices 100% because in the game they get cramps the entire game and don't have confidence in what they are doing half the time. Do people really think that much fatigue/cramps is normal? Not if the players practice at a high level, because if they practice at a medium level, they will play at a medium level. The heart is there, our players just need to listen better and realize that they are playing for something bigger than the name on the back of their jerseys and the future paycheck they plan on getting...

My thoughts exactly

Krag is a good coach and recruiter. There's no reason to fire him.

Jim Zorn and Jim Caldwell were both QB coaches during Cam Cameron's stint in Baltimore.

Well Jarrett Lee had the best year of his career and Mettenberger had his ups and downs.

Mett isn't the problem with this offense.

Eh... Miles needs something to keep him busy. Let him coach the OL.

my definition of accountability would conclude both stud and krag get a one way ticket out of baton rouge. give stud a loyalty severence and none to krag (we paid him oc wages even after he stepped down) but allow krag to stay on the health insurance plan.

i honestly don't think OL coaches are that hard to find and i also think we can find a better OC.

Stud is a good OL coach though.

It was only with injuries plus OL not being his main focus that there has been a problem.

If at all possible, keep him as OL coach.

our OL was plenty good last yr. really the only OL that I had an issue with in Stud's tenure was 09.

Disagree . . . IMO, Stud is a poor teacher of technique and pass blocking fundamentals. His olines have been poor pass blockers since he has been here. Having Ben Wilkerson around last year to teach technique helped the oline alot.

I would fire Stud, Ensminger, and Kragthorpe. They all need to go.

Stud is obvious...he sucks as a position coach, game planner, game caller...really I don't know one facet of his job in which he excels. He is a non-factor in recruiting.

Ensminger has been cashing checks and mailing it in for many years now, long before he even came to LSU. He could literally spontaneously combust tomorrow and nothing would be effected. He is a non-factor in recruiting.

Kragthorpe, I feel bad for because of the health problems that he and his family have been through the last few years. But honestly that notwithstanding, he just is not a very good coach. He absolutely shite the bed then set it on fire at Louisville. Its no coincidence that Petrino won over 40 games in 4 years and took them to the BCS before Kragthorpe and Strong brought them back to double digit win seasons and the BCS after Kragthorpe. I don't really see our QBs progressing. Krag has never been a good recruiter and never will be.

We need a new OL coach, a new QB coach, a new OC, and someone to coach TEs.

I wonder how many of them are even aware of that someone needs to be fired for it to happen.
What makes that true?

I don't know the ends and outs of the staff, but I would think that everyone not named Frank on that offensive staff could take a hike and we wouldn't miss them too too much.

GA Blue Dog pretty much expressed the way I feel. I have never been impressed with Stud & think that at most schools he would have been long gone.

Ensminger also offers virtually nothing on the recruiting front and seems to be collecting a check.

It is unfortunate about Kragthorpe, but he has not been that impressive coaching QB's and like the other two is a non-factor in recruiting. I think most fans would support it if all three were given the heave-ho and new blood was brought in to perhaps bring some more enthusiasm and better recruiting ability to those three areas.

And Miles would show us he at least cares enough to have some standards for his assistants.

I keep hearing how stupid Miles is, then in the next thread he is RUNNING the offense. Funny thing is you NEVER see him with a play card on the sideline. He is either smart enough to rember every play by memory, or he is NOT running the offence.
