Pretty disappointing that we can't even give away these dead weight players. Chamakh's deal is supposedly a loan too and we're eating a good chunk of his wages. Just have to pray they impress some and that we can sell them in the summer.

Boo. I was hoping Judas would stay in the second division.

That's what many are saying. Who can afford him? Maybe Juventus? Milan? Chelsea?

Doubt Chelsea.

Milan or Juventus sounds more probable.

Maybe after the summer if Fiorentina misses the champions league. Right now they're looking for a striker to replace El Hamdaoui when he leaves for African Cup of Nations.

If Jovetic leaves, Juve would be the best bet but I'd be surprised to see him leave if they make CL.

A couple of other Serie A possible transfers:

Ezekiel Schelotto Atalanta to Inter

Davide Astori from Cagliari to Napoli

Diego Buonanotte from Malaga to Palermo

Juve still trying to get Llorente from Athletic this winter.

What do they do with Matri if this happens?

What's up with Vargas? Are Napoli going to loan him out?

That's a good question. Fiorentina would've been the obvious choice until today . . . they may still be if Rossi isn't going to be ready by March. . .
who knows, maybe Matri leaves Serie A. .
He fizzled with Juve but I think he may end up being a great deal for a club where he fits . . .

maybe I'm stuck on how effective he was for Cagliari. . . but he was excellent. . .

Almost certainly. Argentina or Brazil are possibilities along with lower table sides.

He seemed to get a chance early this year but I suppose didn't impress Mazzari as being ready. . . Hard for Vargas though with Insigne coming on the shining way he has. . .

His contract is up at the end of the season, nevertheless, I doubt €4M will do it (reportedly what they are hoping to pay).

Apparently it's official, Holtby will be coming in July to Tottenham.

I am a Spurs supporter but this is my first year following them closely and watching all their matches that I can, also my first year following soccer as intently as I am so from you more knowledgable posters, how good of a move is this?

Well I don't watch spurs enough to know their needs, but they just got a very good player. He's captained German youth national sides growing up, so he's a natural leader. Still only 21 I believe, like mentioned earlier, he's a CAM with CM capabilities

You don't cap for Germany in the midfield unless you're a good player. He's not your traditional attacking mid in the sense of direct play and trying to score a bunch of goals. He's more of a Toni Kroos, if you're familiar with him. He'll come back and receive the ball from defenders, he's a smart passer with good vision. He has even played as a holding mid for Schalke at some points. I think he'll do well with Tottehnahm, he looks like a douche but he's a good player.

As of now with how good Bale is (even though he may be gone soon) and the form that Lennon is currently in I'd say that we are perfectly fine on the wings and so that is good to hear, but then again I'm not a seasoned supporter yet.

Sounds like he will be competition for Dembele. Either way, certainly appears to be a good signing, although £90k a week is pretty steep for a 21 year old.
