Do u keep the empty cylinder under the hammer, or the cylinder the pin hits after the hammer is cocked?

When I used to only keep 5 in my revolver I kept it to where I would have to pull the trigger twice to make it fire. I figured it was safer that way, and if I ever needed to use it, I could pull it twice pretty quickly.

The rifle never goes in the camp.

Empty under the hammer. It's single action.

If I had a double action I'd probably have 6 in it. Exposed hammer stuff doesn't bother me that bad since it isn't cocked all the time.

You can't be packin that loaded pistola in there either

ETA: Had a guy get perma-banned for that. Drinking and carrying a loaded pistol in the camp.

I didn't know CCer's ever left their gun anywhere.

Seriously. I thought that was considered a no-no in the CC crowd.

I've always assumed that the people I know with a CCL were carrying 100% of the time except for where it was illegal.

I'm talking about my full size that stays in my truck or on my hip. I'm not talking about my CC piece.

That's a different different discussion for another day.

You would see my CC piece so you wouldn't know it's cocked and locked
