how many 3 and outs did LSU have in this game? at least 8.

Yup. I am old school. If it works, DON'T try to fix it. I would have kept feeding the Rock to Hill until they found a way to stop him.

Doesn't really matter what his overall record is if he can't win the big one. The Chicken Bowl and 1/9 just prove he can't win when it matters.

Did you watch the game? LSU had 99 yards on 25 carries. 74 of those yards came on two carries. That leaves 23 carries for 24 yards. Yeah Clemson never stopped the running game.

Yea because Mett had -41 yards rushing. Hill averaged 10 yards a carry. There was no reason he shouldn't have had 20 carries that game.

They rushed 19 times for 140 yards. Even if you take away the 2 long runs, that's still 3.7 yards per carry. Mett was sacked 6 times for -41 yards, that's why they show it as 99 yards rushing.

That was one of the worst offensive performances I have seen LSU give in the Les Miles era and that is saying quite a lot.

even if Mett had completed that pass it wouldn't have guaranteed anything. LSU would have still needed to covert another first down because Clemson had all 3 of their timeouts left with about 2:35 to play.

Well, if they had excuded that play all the way through, Clemson would have had to start using some of those timeouts. Now, running a bootleg with Mett on that play is questionable but obviously Clemson wasn't ready for it. He just missed on the throw. LSU has put together solid regular seasons over the past several years but have screwed the pooch in the bowl game. I could see why a lot of their fans would be pissed off.

a team that had national title aspirations playing in the freakin chic fil a bowl might have something to do with that...

the meltdown over these glorified exhibition games is so overblown.

There are really only like 3 good coaches in the NCAA if you read this board...

4 years after Saban left, you still consider that "with Saban's recruits"

That's ridiculous and laughable

Gosh, and all that miles has done is win a title, play for a 2nd title, win 2 SEC titles, have around 4 or 5 top finishes or so maybe?

TERRIBLE!!!

This is a flatout lie and you know it.

If it's not a national title game, yes.

Who would disagree with that? Are you even being serious with that question?

You're getting destroyed in this thread, how many times will you shift the line and change your argument?

Posted Miles's record, you claim MOST were against scrubs, which is a lie.

Posted Miles's SEC record, you claim bowl games are more important.

Time to wave that white flag man, this thread didn't go the way you hoped it would.

the game was meaningless, but there is no reason for LSU to look so shitty last night, especially against Clemson of all teams

it starts getting distant by 2008, but miles hasn't exactly recruited offensive talent like saban did

where is miles' bowe, clayton, JR, flynn, mauck?

if we go look at what les has trotted out at QB 2008-2012 it's worth many laughs

Please start naming coaches whose coaching philosophies could come to LSU and accomplish what he has done. Some coaches besides Saban and Miles have had success but look what happens when they lose freakish players like Tebow and Cam. A&M has had success but only b/c of Manziel. Chip Kelly is a great coach but no way would that style work in the SEC. There are coaches who would be able to come in and win games and score points but the point is to at least be in a position to win NC's. Les has done that here. Had it not been for the system, LSU would've been in a BCS game this season. That's 4 of the 8 years he's been here with 2 of those being title games. That's pretty damn impressive for being in the toughest division in college football.
