And?

Now do Sabans while at LSU with Dinardos recruits and his own.

lol gotta love when some people use the "DiNardo saved LSU" nonsense. yea DiNardo was just so valuable and every program in the country could see that so that's why he ended up in the WWE's XFL after LSU fired his arse!

I really am quite indifferent with Miles, but I love reading all of these threads.

Just throw the next 4 seasons out the window anytime a coach is fired.

If you have watched LSU in any marginal amount you would know his success/failures have very little to do with the quality of the players on the team.

People on this site are obsessed with Saban.

Is Miles a good coach? Yes.

Is Miles the best coach? No.

End of discussion.

see that's where you messed up. Saban wasn't fired. he left a national championship ready, stacked program for the NFL. if he had been fired like DiNardo was after going 4-7 and 2-8 in his final two seasons and Les came in and did what he did, then you would have a point. however that's simply not the case. Miles was nothing special at all before LSU and inherited a stacked program on a silver platter.

yeah, pretty much this.

Miles is a goof but if Mett had completed that pass on 2nd down and two, they would have run out the clock. Its not always about him but I can understand why some of the LSU fans have been pissed at him for awhile.

while I agree they should have ran the ball AT LEAST ONCE during that possession, even if Mett had completed that pass it wouldn't have guaranteed anything. LSU would have still needed to covert another first down because Clemson had all 3 of their timeouts left with about 2:35 to play.

He's 43-10 with "his own" players. He has 6/8 10+ win seasons.

I've never drank the Miles kool aid like many other LSU fans, but the point you are trying to prove is kind of silly.

with most of those being non-conference wins against extremely pitiful and downright pathetic football programs with the exception of maybe 2 or 3 (Oregon, West Virgina, and maybe one more). regardless Miles has been one of the worst coaches in the country over the last 4 years in bowl games. that counts more than him beating up on your Towson's and Tulane's.

so regular season stats are more important than bowl games?

last season was the best example of this. you can win all the regular season games you want, but if you shite the bed when it counts no one cares.

absolutely no one other than a blind, Les Miles homer is going to look back on last season and say "hey remember that LSU team won 13 games?!". they're going to say "hey remember that beat down Alabama put on LSU?!". now this season they will say "hey remember that Clemson team that beat LSU?!".
