I think the problem is that guys who would otherwise go from HS are made to play one year in college.
Not sure how the NCAA could force kids to stay.

A shortened season and 32 team field would also boost college basketball's profile.

In that case, if the NBA where to do anything (I don't believe they have an incentive to) they should let kids come in out of HS, not keep more kids out for longer.
But I guess either would help college hoops

You're assuming the one and done is what's legitimately hurting college basketball.
I'd go a step further to say AAU ball (and a total lack of teaching fundamentals) and poor officiating (especially guys who can't keep up with the pace of the game) has done more to hurt it. Those two things don't go away with a NBA entry rule change.

Most people don't pay attention to CBB until Jan-Feb anyway so shortening the season would be pointless. Going to a 32 team NCAA tourney would be retarded.

Too many teams make the tourney, so regular season games--individually--mean absolutely nothing. Nobody watches until March because games dont mean anything until then.

Like the nba. The regular season is absolutely pointless. They should cut the playoffs in half to where they don't last 2 fricking months.

I've got no beef with the NCAA Tourney, but I think conference tournaments are kind of silly.

But regular seasons would still be as meaningless, it would just make conference tourneys more important.

Move the 3 point line back. Shorten the season. Completely rework NCAA tournament in the image if the cws.

No. College basketball would only be as awesome as college football if losing one regular season game could end a team's national championship hopes. That's never going to happen so no.
