Also forgot to mention that I noticed that one of my local places was out of one of my favorites, Rock Hill Farms. I asked one of the guys when they were expecting more and he said he was told by the distributor that they weren't sure when it would be back in and that a lot of the Buffalo Trace things could become limited soon due to the bourbon boom. Just a heads up if you're looking to stock up on Elmer T Lee, Rock Hill, Blanton's, Eagle Rare, etc. Obviously Chuck Cowdery had mentioned it a couple months ago. Maybe we need to stop talking about bourbon and convince more people to drink other liquors

I am in Brekckenridge and picked up some Breckenridge Bourbon. It is only aged 3.5 years but it was very good. Very smooth for a 3.5 year old bourbon.

Breckenridge Bourbon

My local guy made me try some at the store as he opened a tasting bottle. I was not impressed at all. It had a very weak taste and the flavor profile was lacking. Tasted like a watered down bourbon.

just finished a bottle of Elmer last night. I might have to make a run this week and buy all the bottles I can find. I am running out of room to put new bottles

coming back to BR for a wedding this weekend, staying at L'Auberge. Are there any good places to eat and drink there?

I havent been to any of the restaurants there. From what I've heard they are all pretty meh. There is a place a few miles further down river road called Roberto's. It's legit.

I have been to roberto's several times. I always enjoyed it. I might have to visit the cove for a drink.

For bourbon/whiskey the cove is your best bet to try or get a drink. Never been to Olive and Twist but heard real good things about it.

Really?? I've only been once for brunch and never thought to look at the bourbon menu. The food was great. So were the mimosas and bloody marys

oh yea... dont get me wrong, they arent cheap but they have all the Pappy offerings, all the BTAC stuff, and about 10-15 other good bottles. last time we went I had a glass of Stagg for $18, which isnt too bad, but they wanted $30 for Pappy 15.

edit... here is the menu

So the wife and I are currently moving... we are staying with my in laws until we buy a house. All of my bottles are wrapped and put away in a box in a storage unit... no possibility of them going bad should they?

Is it a climate controlled unit? If not, I'd be concerned with heat and temperature fluctuations in general.

Most wax top bottles don't do well with temperature change.
