He was a game manager with a good D and good running game and good OLine who limited his mistakes.
Take away that running game and ask him to make plays/win games, this is what you get.

He was never good, but he does have 4 more playoff wins than Matt Ryan does.

He was drafted to a team that sold out for a "win now" team a year before with Brett Favre. So essentially, sans Favre, he was on a team built to make the playoffs the next year.
When those players' primes passed, that same team dropped the shower curtain on Sanchez, exposing him.
There are a lot of circumstances beyond his control, but when you have to have to best everything to make the QB succeed, is he really that good at all?

There's no doubt he's regressed. Seems like this kid just isn't cutout for New York if you ask me. Cali life doesn't really prepare people for the hellhole that is the New York media and pressure.

Mark also has less INTs than drew brees.

And 23 fewer TDs. And 1,700 fewer yards.
Same record though.

If Drew Brees had a Rex Ryan defense, or ANY defense for that matter, the Saints would be playoff bound no doubt.

As has been already stated, he is a game manager. When he has tool around him he can execute and win. But when you have jack shite like he does now, he's going to get exposed. Big Time

No. He just went to USC, so you were told he was the second coming.
I can see how you would have been mistaken.

Mark Sanchez was a glorified-Jim-Harbaugh-transformed-Alex-Smith... 3 years in advance.

He has some big games in the playoffs but dam he has seriously regressed.

I remember when there was a debate about who was the better NFL QB, Stafford or Sanchez, just because Sanchez was winning games (largely due to his defense).
I guess that debate can be put to rest now
