My understanding of that shotgun is that it is prone to dirt/sand/whatever in the magazine tubes due to the design.

re: Official AR-15 thread

I am looking to remove my muzzle brake. Why the extra length? Their main purpose on a low recoil 223 is muzzle crown protection.
Sure they look cool, hide a flash (I guess), and claim to make followup shots faster (anyone ever time themselves with and without) but they add additional length.
After removing I would like to find something to add back like a muzzle brake, but smaller. Something to maybe protect the muzzle crown, if that is even necessary.

SIAP, but Palmetto also has 500 rd cases of 7.62x51 Nato M80 for $319 delivered for the AR-10 crowd.
Pretty good price for some decent target ammo.

Dont know how reputable the site is, but they have a Mega billet upper/lower in .308 that I know a couple people were looking for.

Good shite then.

I'm debating on grabbing this FDE BCM rifle from Rainer or building another.

Decisions, decisions...

Also surplus ammo has 10.99 FED windowless PMAGs

re: Official AR-15 thread

My next one will be a .308 build with the maten set. I REALLY would like to use the Knight's SR25 receiver set, but I'm having a hard time justifying the price point. Can get 3 maten sets for the price of one Knight's

re: Official AR-15 thread

Can anyone recommend me a nice, yet relatively inexpensive 2point sling for an AR? It's for a gift for my bro.

Thanks

re: Official AR-15 thread

In the process of building my first AR and I have a question about cleaning new parts. Just got in a nickel boron trigger group and it is very sticky. What should I use to clean it with...just a general CLP? Is something like brake cleaner too harsh and will remove coating?

Also picking up my stripped lower from my FFL today. Any recommendations on cleaning that as well.

Magpul just released their MS1 sling, looks pretty nice. Either that or a padded Vtac.

If he has QD sockets get him the magpul MS4. They're around 50-60 bucks. QD goodness and can function as a single point or dual point attachment.

Spikes melonited gas tubes of all lengths in stock at Brownells for the OCD attention to detail builders. (These have a black finish instead of the traditional obnoxious polished stainless steel finish) Very rarely do these come in stock LINK

Looked at a Core 15 AR today. Anyone here familiar with these? What's your opinion on the brand?

If you're asking our opinion, they are good enough.
