I don't think that one qualifies for "bad boy" status.

Upper is expected to group per the mil-spec 4-6 MOA.

Any rifle I own should be a better shooter than me. Likewise, any rifle that isn't capable of 1.5 MOA or less would drive me crazy.

I agree I would be quite upset if i was grouping 4-6" at 100 yds with a brand new gun.

Amazon has the Surefire X300 Ultra weapon light that attaches to a rail for $180. 500 lumen, quick-detach.

It's also Amazon Prime, so free 2-day shipping.

Thinking about building my own AR sometime soon. What is the best site you guys use to buy the parts? Or do you use various sites? Thanks

All depends on the quality of the rifle you're wanting to build. Price wise you won't find much difference site to site for the same parts (of the same manufacturer). If you're wanting to go cheap that link to PSA is about as cheap as it gets.

Ah okay, I was wondering if the prices were cheaper on a certain site, but I should've worded my question like that. Thanks for the info.
I'm looking for a pretty good quality build. I don't want to spend much more than $1200

With a budget of $1200, you really have unlimited possibilities. You want to concentrate mainly on a quality barrel and bcg as well as a nice trigger (if that's important to you). A majority of everything else is personal preference. Also something to consider is optics in that price. If you just want BUIS at first, you should be fine. But if your're looking for a quality optic and a rifle for $1200 you might be pushing it. Either way, good luck and welcome to the addiction.

Yeah I realized the optics were a little pricey. I'm probably gonna build the rifle and then wait a while to get some good optics.

Thanks man, I'm gonna do a lot of research on the parts. I'll be sure to post a picture afterwards

Definitely keep us updated with pictures. I would advise building the lower (not too hard) but maybe buying a complete upper for your first one. Putting together an upper can be quite a bit more difficult.

Anyone know if Daniel Defense plans to continue producing their LPK's in the future? Awhile back I saw on midway's site that they're listed as "discontinued," but I occasionally get email notifications of them coming in stock on other sites. I put in for these notifications last January so I'm wondering if these are orders they're filling from 2012-2013 and then that's it. May grab a few if so.

Nice buid
How do you like the MI rail?

I have been thinking of swapping out to this rail on my AR. I currently have a PSA upper with Yankee Hill Diamond rail. I like the thinner MI system.
