Really nice. Looks like door has pins only on one side, did you leave space for those pins?

Looks nice, when you gonna fix the leg?

I removed the damaged metal leg and the good metal leg and build a stand with glued and screwed 3/4 poplar stained dark attached to a baltic birch base. I made the legs stick out from the front a couple inches to give it more area to prevent a front tipping incident although I think it would be unlikely. It also give me a little room to play I I decide to trim it out and make it finished. I glued pieces of the same cork floor to the bottom to make it easier to move. I can take a few additional pictures of the base.

The door has pins all around and when I attach my inside door trim to it, I will have to leave room for the pins to extend. I was playing around with some prototypes of the trim before and had forgot about it which would have sucked if I would have already glued them in.

Nice shop by the way.

Thanks. Everything is shoehorned into my small garage. I need an extra 10' wide of space.

If that door has locking pins on all 4 sides, I sure don't see them. It is obvious you have some experience with those tools though. Really good craftsmanship.

Garages in Florida suck ass! You can have a 4k square foot house and it will have a freaking 2 car garage that takes a major effort to get an SUV and a car into.

Yeah some of the pictures are hard to see because of the lighting. It has 3 fixed pins on the hinge side, 3 retractable on the opening side and 1 retractable top and bottom.

Really good craftsmanship.

Thanks. My next project which is already well underway uses some techniques I am still learning. I am building a really nice cypress picnic table for my families camp at Toledo Bend. It is a fairly challenging project but so far it is coming along nicely.

re: Gunsafe Refurbish Project Log (Finally Done 8/31)

I am finally 100% complete with this monstrosity.
I had made some modifications to the door panel to allow it to hold extra weight of a door organizer by glue aluminum flat bars on the back side. This also increased the door edge thickness and provide the stiffness.

Unfortunately after getting the organizer and putting it in, I found that my new slightly wider shelves coupled with my new slightly thicker door did not allow me to close the door with the organizer on the door. Guess I am returning it.

Inside video showing how close the door closes.

I had also added a piece of blonde hardwood trim to the inner edge of the door to give it a more finished look. I had to cut out pin recesses on 3 sides but the fixed hinge side pins had enough space to fit.

Panel finished.

Someone asked for some base pics so here are a few.

I am off to Home Depot in a little bit to look for some lighting
