I thought the same thing. Something about the orange contours with what it hits, spreading out and not leaving a bruise on the surface.
Having said that- I have been hit by an airbag- looked like I was hit by a truck when it was all said and done and it spreads out and covers alot more surface area than an orange-- so Im pretty skeptical myself.

Pussy, I took out my tibia and fibula with one stroke. By the end of wearing the cast I could outrun football players on my crutches. Lucky for me that I never fell down as it would have been a major face plant or broken arms.

Option 1 - Screwdrivers
Roll the chilled orange until it gets soft. Inject in several places with vodka and cut a 1/2 inch cone shaped hole in the top. suck out the natural screwdriver.
Tasty, but not suitable for the kids.
Option 2 - Ambrosia
Peel and cut sections throwing the membrane away (labor intensive). Add flaked sweetened coconut and marischino (sp?)cherries. This is Ambrosia salad. Probably a recipe with amounts listed on Google.
Option 3 I'm coming up with a blank
Have an orange fight in the back yard - great fun.
