Seriously this is foreplay at my house. I may reward the hubby with a little afternoon delight since he was cleaning this morning (never mind it was his mess from hunting yesterday).

I was thinking the same thing, 68. A man who knows how to do "a woman's work" is very appealing.

You Skanks are responsible for the pussification of America. Just look at the threads from this morning.

Afternoon, Coco. I'm making a big pot of beef and vegetable stew. Never made it before, but how hard can it be?

Now, to find someone to eat it....

This never ceases to amaze me. Why is it so hard to understand rinsing out, and sitting aside for later use? That's why I keep a case of Solo cups at all times.

Let me qualify my situation as a had to do it or our world would suck donkey nuts. Now that I do what I do, I am a much happier person.

I have been craving this. If it turns out good I would like your recipe (or instructions as to what you did) or you could just overnight UPS me some. TIA

Good idea, Coco. I know it's a cold weather dish, but I just wanted to cook something all day today and tired of the gumbo/chili/spaghetti/jambalaya fare. Never cooked stew, so went to get groceries for it today. I might eat a taste tonight, but save the meal and french bread for tomorrow.

re: Sunday Lunch Thread*

Ha, I will madame. I figure just cube the meat, season, and flour, then brown real good in olive oil. Took it out, then cooked down the onions/bp/celery/garlic, and add a little flour, until they cooked clear. Put the meat back in, seasoned, added beef broth, with all the veggies (potatoes, carrots, peas, mushrooms, corn). Turned high, brought to a boil, lowered, covered, and now simmering.

We'll see.

I, too, am thrilled when husband & son pick up their own messes. It kills me how they never know how the mess got there or who made it, though.

I'm making beef stew tomorrow since it's supposed to be cooler. It's my mother's recipe and is probably the best I've ever eaten and is relatively easy. Smells wonderful, too.

I've offered that deal to my husband. He's never accepted.

Clean the dishes when I'm done as well. Wash and fold clothes, too, fwiw.
