I'll be interested to see how that turns out, I mean they have a HUGE chunk fenced off. Basically from the pay spots in front of the Athletic Building to half the lot in from of the journalism pavillion and out as far as half the lane of North Stadium closer to TS. They were tearing up sidewalk this morning, didn't notice them doing anything this afternoon though

The only really noticeable thing is that all the crappy chainlink in front of the lawton room and the student entrance is gone

Based on the renderings from the 2009 Strategic plan, it looks like they will be re-doing the sidewalks, gates, and lighting on the ground.

Yup. And work on the NEZ will likely be started sometime in 2016 or 2017.

Alleva has stated he wants time for all the suites in the SEZ expansion to sell and the demand for new suites to build to the point where it becomes certain that there will be no problems selling out the NEZ suites. That's not currently the case. This is all about maximizing LSU's ROI.

And TIFWIW, but don't expect the NEZ expansion to look exactly like the SEZ expansion. The SEZ expansion was about covering up an eyesore. The NEZ expansion will be about showcasing what is right about TS.

the north end will never be expanded. there isn't enough room for traffic. it would create too big of a pinch point on campus on game days and encroach on mike's habitat.

That didn't answer my question. I was asking about the refurb, not expansion.

I think the plan is to have it done by bcsf. I'm not sure if they are gonna wait until they finish the north side to start working on the champion's walk or not but it shouldn't be an issue.

Also i thought at one point they actually wanted to close off north stadium drive and have the courtyard area extend basically to the pmac but they may have decided against that

That could have possibly been discussed but that's not planned for this project and couldn't be an option until s. stadium opens back up in 2014.
