Their regular lineup is pretty average. Lips of Faith has some good stuff though.

who cares.

as far as nb, fat tire might be the most over rated beer in the whole world (that or yuengling).

everything ive had from the lips of faith seris has been on point though.

They're not over rated, they just sell well.

More options is always a good thing, no matter how overrated or average the brewery might be IMO

Over rated is a poor word choice, im not talking about beer ratings, i run into people often thatll say i wish we had fat tire here or yuengling. I just dont understand the infatuation with average beers.

Agreed. I like a lot of their stuff. Red Hoptober is awesome! Ranger is one of the best IPA's out there. I also like Shift, 1554, and Fat Tire.

It's one's personal preference and taste buds. One's palate may love a barley wine, while another hate it. Same with a Double IPA, Smoked porter, etc.

Some people's palate may really enjoy a Fat Tire or whatever it may be.

Are they the best in the world? No. But the demand for them is here and therefore they should be here.

If anything, maybe it'll light a fire under Abita's arse to get with the prgoram.

you have to consider a point of comparison

fat tire is a nice gateway beer

in comparison to BCM, Fat Tire is well above average

Fat Tire is a solid beer that is a gateway beer much like Abita Amber, Shiner Bock, SA Boston Lager and Canebrake.

Yep. And if people will drink/buy Fat Tire instead of BMC, that's a good thing. Fat Tire isn't a bad beer. It's a good amber ale. It's just that amber ales aren't terribly exciting.

I think it comes down to our inability to get that beer locally. Just hype for the most part but both of those would sell very well here.
