Best case - 1st round Worst case - shot and killed

We cast the net on Thursday, and there’s a school of thought that he’s headed for round four. Of course, if only one team thinks more highly of the Honey Badger, he could go higher than round four. For now, though, the middle rounds are where he’d likely go — if the draft were held today. One evaluator said that Mathieu was a better college player and hype machine than pro prospect. He projects to be a reserve defensive back and a kick returner at the next level, with his return skills being regarded as more valuable than his coverage skills. Another said that Mathieu is a quick, instinctive, tough playmaker in the slot. But his size and character will be major concerns. The fact that Rams rookie cornerback Janoris Jenkins is looking like a second-round steal could help Mathieu. But there are major differences between the two players. Jenkins found a landing spot and turned himself around after getting kicked out of Florida. Mathieu bottomed out after getting the boot from LSU, and he will have gone a full season without playing at the time he enters the draft.

Well to be compared to Green, TM7 better add on 20 pounds of muscle (green reported 185-195 during playing career) and learn to run a sub 4.5 in the 40

Go back to O/T. $500,000 year is wealthy. TM7 is the 1%. Anyone who thinks with 253 draft picks TM7 won't be one of them barring any setbacks is not being logical.
Never been to O/T. Don't even know what it is. $500,000 is fairly wealthy if you can earn it over a long career. If it's just for a few years, no, it is not wealthy. As I established in my previous post, it gives him about $1,200,00 take home pay over his entire career. Try living a life on that. I think you're right on your last point, though, TM gets drafted unless he is completely addicted.

One team or someone will take a flier on TM7, be it needs based, potential seen, relationship between agent and player development...Whatever. The NFL is about winning at any and all costs...So I will say 3 Round or higher.

This. He will pay his agent 3% (the NFL maximum), which is $15,000. He will be entitled to certain other deductions (assuming the government doesn't take them all away) that will reduce his taxable income to maybe $350,000. He will pay tax on this of somewhere between 45 and 50%, leaving him with around $200,000. He will make this amount for about 5 years (best case). That's 1 million dollars of take-home pay over 5 years. He will spend more than half of this--probably 75% if he is relatively frugal. So after 5 years, he will have $250,000, plus whatever he earns on his investment account in which he puts the money. So say it's $300,000. If this is all he has (in other words, if he makes nothing from endorsements and the like), he will have an investment fund of $300,000, which can be expected to produce a return of $15,000 per year if invested with moderate conservatism. Better off than many Americans--sure. Wealthy--not even close.

I heard on the radio yesterday that he did not give up one touchdown pass in 2011. So much for that being a poor cover corner. That being said, I see him more as a saftey like Bob Sanders. Let him roam and make plays. I don't understand the "he doesn't look the part" argument. Others can look like Tarzan and play like Jane. He may not be the prototype but he just flat out balls! Best of luck to him

He also didn't bust coverage one time in his career. Never seen so many recievers running wide open in my life like i've seen against this LSU team.
