Creamy Curried Cole Slaw-need culinary help

I love coleslaw, but it is loaded with fat making stuff.

So I tried something new and it came out bitter.

Here are the ingredients:

packaged coleslaw mix (cabbage and carrots)
plain fat free yogurt
cilantro
curry powder
white wine vinegar
salt and pepper

It would be excellent if not for the bitter finish.

Any thoughts on where the bitterness comes from? Solutions?

I saw a recipe that was just like this except they added apples to it. I'm thinking it was to cut back on the bitter. Raw cabbage is where that's coming from


eta- whoops, by cabbage I mean broccoli

you need to balance it with something sweet.

apples
grapes
cranberries
sugar
sugar substitute

honey or agave nectar would work well. I've used those before in slaw.

Add a packet of Splenda and some agave nectar
