Nice, the new C-Usa was about to get really bad. Even worse than it already is.

so once Louisville and UConn go to the ACC, the conference will be:

Tulane
Houston
San Diego State
Temple
South Florida
Cincinnati
Southern Methodist
Memphis
Central Florida
Boise St

Good move for them. I like the direction CJ has the program moving. (I know 2-10 wasn't a great start, but he was left with a pretty shitty slate by Toledo.. played a ton of young guys). He's brought in a great recruiting class and has another one lined up for this year as well. With the new stadium coming eventually, Tulane seems to be making the right moves.

Yep.

And from watching the games, there were several close games, and you could still see the fight in the team in the blowouts. We didn't see as much of either under Toledo.

Nah, 41-13. Tulane is effectively rejoining CUSA. I mean, congrats on the move, it will be good for basketball but for football, who gives a frick?

Throw in Southern Miss and East Carolina and you're pretty much back to the C-USA as of the early 2000s.

Which is better than what CUSA was morphing into.

Plus basketball is going to be fricking awesome.

Why would Tulane join a dying Big East?

What other basketball teams will there be?

Nova
St Johns
Providence
G'Town
????

I have a feeling that a Catholic basketball league is in the works that will pull from both the Big East and the A-10.

I'd assume Marquette, Seton Hall, and Depaul will still be there too huh?

In addition to Tulane, the football-playing, all-sports members would as of now include Connecticut, Temple, Cincinnati, Louisville, South Florida, and beginning in 2013, Houston, SMU, Central Florida and Memphis. Football-only members would include Boise State and San Diego State, who would join for 2013, and Navy, who would join in 2015.
