Ouachita Parish has less than 5 percent of the state population and won 60% of the state football championships last year and have put at least 2 teams in the big game since 09.

Pretty much single-handedly won their game last night. Winning score on an 85 yard keeper.

I hope not. I picked against U-High last night and they proved me wrong. I feel like if I pick them to win this time, they'll lose, so I'm gonna pick against them again. (Horrible reasoning is horrible )

But, I'd like to see UHS play Curtis in the dome.

I'm ok with your reasoning.

Shreveport doesn't pull their weight. Its all about Ouachita Parish in North Louisiana. Minus Evangel before u stick them out as an example that I wasn't right.

I kind of slacked off and didn't scout Calvary that much. Didn't realize until riding back last night that they beat West Monroe and Carrencro, hanging more than 40 on both, and lost 49-41 to Evangel. Makes the performance of our defense all the more impressive last night. For all the haters out there, don't automatically concede the win to ECA. The only team to score more than a touchdown on our first team defense all season was the incredible individual performance by Jeryl Brazil.

Anyone know anything about Carver? At the risk of a complete stereotype, if they have some athletes, they could give ECA some trouble. Calvary had a big team, but our team speed on defense and at RB gave them a lot of trouble.

They have plenty of athletes, but they had the same athletes last season and lost 60-0 to evangel in the playoffs. The game is in New Orleans this time so that might keep it closer but I still see them winning easily.

I wouldn't call it a major upset, but Mandeville's QB is legit. He accounted for all 4 TD's last night. I think it will be a very tight game.

Rummel has a pretty legit QB as well.
