Barbe will beat West Monroe. They got all the motivation they'll need from last year. Plus I was at barbe's game last night and that offense is sick.

WM didn't let Acadiana's offense score. I think they will be fine with Barbe's.

Your first sentence has nothing to do with the second one. Acadiana's offense is nothing like Barbe's.

Last years WM defense was better than this years. This years Barbe offense is better than last years.

Barbe went up and down the field last year vs WM but WM kept them out of the end zone.

Should be another great game.

I have only been going to WM games the past few years and used to think the home folks were crazy with the refs vs WM thing. After witnessing some of the calls that go against them I am starting to believe it. Lets hope they at least get a fair crew for the Barbe game so the best team can win on the field.

The only problem with that .gif is that WM's DBs are competent unlike #7 there. Xavier Woods would upend him and it's doubtful he'd hold on to the ball.

To the Rebels

Just saying that a good offense can be stopped with proper game planning. Acadiana had a pretty consistent offense all season.

I really hope its a good game. It was such a hyped game in the semis back in 2008 just to be a blow out.

ETA: I hope WMs DBs are ready this week. All Barbe has to do is watch the 2nd half of the Ouachita game. Ouachita may have gotten close if they would have kept throwing the seam route.

Xavier is a great DB, but he is stuck back there play safety. Playing safety at WM is like playing deep linebacker.

They need to move him to corner and let him play to Quinn's side all night.

I've seen a couple different teams TRY to defend barbe 1 team thought they could single cover him (evangel) huge mistake ... saw another double him didn't work the whole game and left other capable recievers open... saw others literally blanket him with CB, lb and saftey and barbe RB and qb torched them for 200 yards then you gotta worry bout fontenots legs and Smith just being able to out jump anybody on the field maybe except for Trey Quinn debatable

Stone was out I believe. They both played in the Calvary game last year and WM shut them out. Woods had a pick 6 in that game. I just thought it was funny you guaranteed 35 from Barbe when they scored 12 points against WM last year. As far as moving up and down the field, that has always been WM's strategy. Bleed slow and the offense will make a mistake. Very difficult at the high school level to consistently have 10-12 play drives without making a mistake. We'll see what happens this week. Like I said, I could see either team winning this one.

Hats off to Mandeville, they were they better team in both instances. Don't act like Rummel is big shite though. They should have been ousted last night. In either case, I don't see the Mandy/Rummel winner beating WM or Barbe.

Barbe's defense is garbage. From what I saw their defense looked better last year and that is saying nothing. I think WM wins because Barbe has to be able to put up more resistance than air defensively. I just find it hard to believe a defense that bad can win a championship. I think West Monroe can slow them down enough to win like they did last year. Barbe scored 12 points last year if I remember. I think WM can force some mistakes and turnovers. Barbe hasn't played a defense like WM this year. It will be interesting to watch it play out.
