He's good and would help. But he ain't worth 15 wins.

The roster needs to improve and the young guys need to season

Houston was a bad game IMO. We got it close and almost stole one, but we played like garbage for at least 60% of that game.

We allowed 39 points in 12 minutes of ball

Idk if he's worth 15+ wins, but he could at the least mitigate our biggest on court problems: scoring and perimeter D.

Yet still had a chance to win the game.

Ups and downs with young teams as they learn the ropes

this is nothing compared to the rant

Until I see something on here as dumb as the guy who tried to say the top 6 SEC teams were the 6 best teams in the country and would dominate every other team, I'm not concerned

People saying this team isn't competitive need to pump the brakes. They've been competitive. But it's going to take a few weeks for them to be consistent about it. Plenty of new players, and those that aren't new are in new roles. You just don't gel over night. This board never ceases to amaze me

People are often judged most harshly by others when they fail to live up to the expectationsjoining of those same people, however unreasonable or uninformed those expectations are.

Recalibrated expectations may be what is needed to correctly evaluate this team and its clear upward trajectory.

Exactly. Do people not realize we are starting Vazquez & Aminu? I mean damn. They've over achieved but are still backups

I think people think that last year was the time to gel. Last year was a transition year. they think that we had one bad year and now we are better and should have a great team and better record.

That's not the case though

I got annoyed last night by just lack of effort. Rasheed dove one time while our guys stood around. Mason and aminu had no effort last nite and slouched whole tome they were in. I'm fine with losing but hated watching no effort

It's going to be a warzone on here when the inevitable announcement comes out that Gordon won't be back until January or February.

Which is nuts. No starters returned from last year. Aminu, Smith, Vasquez and Lance Thomas are the only guys who did come back and they were all backups.

I think that's why people thought we'd be better.

This. I'm okay with getting beat by superior teams (which most of the NBA is compared to our mash unit). This past game "hurt" a lot more than the OKC thrashing because we had the appearance of a team that just didn't want to be out there.

strong difference between expecting the team to be good and expecting the team to be competitive.

the level-headed on here, which is the vast majority, were hoping for 30-35 wins and to be competitive. the latter has not been happening the past few games.

the biggest problem is health right now. a healthy hornets squad is competitive. the product on the floor right now is not.

This

We need to get healthy right now

Ya, sons I'm really disappointed in your nega-pelican behavior sons! I can't believe you all would turn this board into something besides retweeting Cornerstone tweets!

No more! I demand all talk of future draft picks stop now! Unless its a funny tweet from notJasonSmith I don't want to see it sons!
ETA: almost forgot! Don't quit making fun of anyone who asks a question or might look like a new poster! frick those guys, they're no sons of mine!

Sons.

Found the new name of the Honeybees:

Seagalls.

Too close to Steven? Harry Lee will haunt you.
