Why compare a players stats from 2011 to 2012 to determine their Heisman chances for 2012?

Ahh, can he win it with OSU being ineligible?

I understand that, my point is about perception. His stats were "HOLY shite"-like last year and Wisconsin dominated the Big Ten

Unless they lose again it's still klien.

He's a great leader and has great impact on the field, but he needs way more than that to win the heisman.
He is the only star on an undefeated #1 ranked Notre Dame team, in a weak year for Heisman contenders that's all he needs.

I thought that's what you were saying. Just wanted to make sure. I do agree that him having a statistically worse year will hold him back.
I think public perception is what will have Te'o in the race.

This. Te'o doesn't do anything. He does what a middle linebacker is supposed to do
how many LBs have 6 INTS?
shite how many DBs have that many INTs this year?
clueless fricks

if a defensive player is ever going to win it again, it could be this year
jarvis jones could finish the year leading the nation in sacks, TFL and FF
Teo has a ton of tackles and big plays on Notre Dame. Enough said

I dunno...the three picks against a team that was considered "average" is going to hurt him.
JFF probably deserves it, but I suspect there will be a freshman bias.
Just don't know this year. I wouldn't be surprised if it went to Teo or Jones.

Exactly. 6 INTs from an ILB in a 3-4 system. Great instincts. Physical punishing tacklers. Some of these posters don't know shite.

It's Johnny Football's. Teo should not win it. JF is a special player and should be recognized.

I will say this. ND would not be CLOSE to where they are without him. FWIW.

Bingo. It's a shame defensive players have to fight an uphill battle to win the most outstanding player award. Outstanding players are on defense as well.

I think it is Manziel's to lose.
but people are slighting Teo. they have no clue what they are talking about
