FYI. Menu is very similar. Same owner. Prices reduced. Many new items. I enjoyed it both times. Still baking his own breads

Good to know. I went to their location when it was at the Myrtles around 2004-ish. Food was good. I had heard they moved from there into another location that closed. Glad to know they reopened. I want to go tour the Myrtles with my boyfriend and St. Francisville has very limited options for dining so I'll go to that location whenever we go.

Yes, It's still on the menu. Never had it. I may try it. Not a fan of sherry though.

There is still a restaurant at the Myrtles, but it is not the Oxbow. I don't recommend that one. The Sonic Drive Inn would be better.

Yeah, that's what I heard
. A shame that The Myrtles can't get a decent restaurant; i.e., Latil's Landing at Houma's House is excellent from what I hear. You would think with The Myrtles being one of the most visited plantations in the South that it should have a good restaurant.

What color is it? Still turquoise?
I had several above average meals there. Must depend on what you order.
I haven't liked any restaurant at the Myrtles in a long time and it is a shame because of the lack of food options. I love staying at Butler Greenwood, but dining is the pits.

Do they still have the large, elegant portrait of the host(ess?) in the foyer?

No more turquoise and the portrait is gone.

That's sort of depressing. The turquoise made me laugh.

So glad to hear that. I had my wedding dinner there and it was fantastic. Then I ate there again last year and it was one of the best ribeyes I've ever had.
