Pussy. You probably thought we would lose to scar. That's why we play. This isn't the 90's. Lsu has every opportunity to beat any team any given week. We aren't middle teir anymore and there is never a reason to write off a game in this era. Pussy

This opinion refers only to CLM's performance as the head coach at LSU. Some take umbrage at criticism of CLM despite his laudable record at LSU which may be the best in the school's history for a football coach. Ironically, that is part of his problem. Agree or not, the calumny directed at him is related to his record compared to Nick Saban. It is as simple as that. Many point to LSU's 13-0 regular season record last year to buffer the dissatisfaction some have expressed about details of many of Miles's decisions over the past seven years-especially the absolutely perfect coaching disaster that was the MNC game. I think much of this displeasure is completely justified because over this time, LSU has been second fiddle to Saban and Alabama. LSU has one BCS championship (with quote:Saban's players) while Alabama has two and looks poised to win a third. This must burn with agonizing pain in the pit of Tiger fans of every generation. The fact is that, but for having Alabama in the same conference led by the former LSU head coach is worse than having the ex-wife you dearly loved marrying the bully who used to steal your lunch money. Let's face it, if LSU cannot beat Alabama and win the BCS this year, it will be a huge disappointment. Saban has done it by beating LSU-yes LSU got jobbed having to play them twice which makes it all the worse. Until he can beat Saban and win something for it, CLM will be in store for withering enfilades from Rantards. Oh, and if you are one of the fans who thinks being second best to Saban and the gumps is OK, then you probably think its OK to score a field goal after getting a fumble on the opponents 7 yard line.
1) Miles's record versus Saban is pretty good compared to any other coach who has faced Bama under Saban. (3-3)
2) Miles is still holding down most of the talent in the state in recruiting.
3) LSU under Miles has become an elite program. We had a 10-win season and a 13-win season in Saban's 5 years. We've had a 11-win, 11-win, 12-win, 11-win, and 13-win season in Miles 7 years at LSU.
4) If Miles 07 championship doesn't count because some players who were recruited under Saban were still playing, then both of Saban's NC don't count because he had Shula's recruits on the team. Pretty dumb, huh?
5) Look at CFB. The SEC is far and away the most dominate conference at the top. It has been that way for the better part of a decade. 3 teams have taken turns knocking people off the top of the mountain: Florida, LSU, and Bama. 1 year ago, LSU was on the top of the mountain and went into BDS and beat Saban's Bama. If not for some goofy upsets, Bama doesn't even sniff NOLA. Breaks fell their way and they lucked into the game. They took advantage of their opportunity. This year, Bama is on top the mountain and LSU gets a chance in Death Valley to knock them off the top of the hill. Instead of looking at Bama as if they are unbeatable, look at the recent past and realize we are Bama's peer, not a little sibling.
It amazes me how much some LSU fans sound like Auburn. (WAAAHHH, BAMA DOES THIS AND THAT, WE NEED TO BE LIKE THEM.) Who gives a shite what they do. We've beaten them enough that it shouldn't matter. We've beaten them when we were better than they were and when we weren't. Here's what I know, our home field is a massive advantage. Our defense is bad fricken arse. Our RBs are beastly. We are #6 in the nation and haven't remotely come close to playing to our potential. Lastly, LSU grabbed its SWAG back this weekend and is getting it together for a run at this thing.
An LSU that figures out it's OL issues is a scary thing. Ask S. Carolina.
F*ck Bama and Saban

The one explanation for this could be that these fans assume based on some dysfunctional analyses that Miles plays no part in winning and merely hinders the team and causes it to lose.
They know that he is getting paid Millions to do so and therefore coupled with a predetermined view of what would be acceptable to them( on/off the field, speaking, tantrums, public appearances, etc...) they decide that he is a buffoon who has lady luck on his side.
Now they know that they are buffoons or at least better and are therefore annoyed that they are not making that money / coaching LSU. The continued success of LSU/Miles makes this a vicious feedback process that fuels the anger and they just have to explode on the rant.
I hope ,for their sakes, that this truly doesn't overflow onto the rest of their off-line lives.

Ok...try this one on for size. Lets talk about this great fictional coach you want to hire to replace Miles.
Now for this coach to be successful he has to beat Saban a few times right. To win the NC or the SEC, for LSU, being in the West, its impossible without beating Saban a time or two. Of course Saban is the undisputed BEST coach in the country and is at a school where there is no hope we will ever be able to outrecruit him, no hope to have more fan support, no hope to ever have better facilities and no hope to ever have an easier schedule or more support from the great unseen forces (read SEC office). Your new coach,(just like the current one) will have all these strikes against him before he ever tees it up for the first time against Bama and Saban.
So your search is going to be for the SECOND best coach in the land, BEST is already taken. Now this second best guy you want to hire, what would you expect his record to be against Saban after sayyy 6 games? Answer that one question and then we can continue if you like. (Unless I have already given you enough clues to see the folly of your ways, you want to be a realist? I'll show you what reality is all about)

Not really. If that were true than Saban won with Shula's players. Chizik won with Tubervilles players, Stoops won with Blake's players, Meyer with Zook's players, etc...
Though it really is amazing how stupid some people are. Miles and Saban have an equal record against each other. While last season did end up disappointing, it doesn't neglect all the accomplishments and high points.
Here's to pessimistic dumbasses like you

Thanks. It's amazing how stating the obvious, such as water is wet, has become almost a necessity. A good reflection of the target audience.

Tigerblood29 is one of those that would make excuses for saban's shortcomings while shitting all over miles flaws.
NS has no impact on the current LSU football product we see on the field today other than the 3 wins he has suffered at the hands of LSU teams.
Does he have some non-product seen on the field type influence based on he won here almost a decade ago...yes.
The lengths some will go to find reasons/ways to attempt to dimish what LM has been able to accomplish at LSU is amusing to watch.
The idea that NS, gone since 12-04, has something positive to do with LSU being 19-2, 11-1 in our last 21 games just plain silly.

We won the premier conference and best division in all of college football. We beat every team we played.
Miles is far from perfect, but so is Saban. I Think the people that are behind miles are tired others wanting him gone for 7 years now. Its not going to happen. The chances of us getting a coach even equal to miles is very slim. And i dont think there is one out there that are realistic candidates. A coach can have success at one school, and completely fail somewhere else.

Okay. Let's forfeit so I can do something else on 11/3. No use attending the game now that the outcome has been decided.

I don't want him gone by any stretch of the imagination. However, I do, at times, question his judgement and methods; HIS perfomance on 1/9/2012, was abysmal.

You lost all credibility with the use of this word. An incorrect use, I might add, since it's clear you think the vitriol is justified. (Look it up and think hard about its meaning before protesting).

Why does no one ever mention that two of Saban's championships are with other coaches players. Yes the one at LSU also

I do remember watching the story about White Tigers being inbred and mentally retarded.

It is truly amazing how we can criticize the winningest coach (percentage wise) in LSU's storied football history. The fact is Miles can flat out recruit with the best of them. No criticism from anyone on this that I know of.
Fact is he just continues to win games on Saturday's and that is truly awesome! He played his cards right on Sat. night and forced Spurrier into an ill-advised turnover trying to pass the football. We won and it was frustrating - again.
He is a stubborn human being and needes to get back to the "Mad Hatter" persona if LSU is to have any chance of running the table down the stretch in 2012.
Funny thing is if Miles would have beaten Saban in the BCS championship in 2011 he would be crowned the best college football coach in America. That's how close he is to being the best. However, the performance in the BCS championship game warrants the criticism. Until he whips Saban again and wins it all again the criticism will continue.
Here's to hoping LSU has rounded the corner and they are ready to dominate opponents once again on Saturday's. Geaux Tigers!

You're a huge vagina, White Tiger. I bet you never suited up for anything more than a chess match in your life. And put the Thesaurus away when posting. We are not impressed by big words here.
