I bet it was. New Orleans East and Westbank have such a huge, bustling Vietnamese community. If you go out towards Bayou Sauvage on Chef Menteur, you'll almost think that your in Vietnam. At one point, I think it was the largest in the United States. I think that has now been taken over by Houston.

The neighborhood known as Versailles is 88% Vietnamese, or 89% it's the highest concentration of Vietnamese in the US. Little Saigon in SF is 34%.

Plus damn god food. I had a Bahn Mi and a Boba tea from frosty's today.
But so many good places.

Made a trip out to Dong Phuong yesterday, delicious as always. Went with Vietnamese sausage and Vietnamese grilled pork. Also got a steamed bun and about five bread rolls

They specifically talked about Versailles in the documentary. And they talked about a fresh veggie market that's out there every weekend and how you need to get there by 6 am to get the good stuff.

Yeah, I went out there for eight one time, and they had barely anything left. I did see live ducks for sale, and some veggies.

Largest concentration both in population and per capita are a couple of communities in Orange County, Calif. I think Houston's next in population, New Orleans in per-capita population.

Orange County, I believe, has a long history. I think it was the first place where there was a mass settlement after the war.
