Not worth a top 10 pick according to this board though.

Same here. I was calling for him the entire time. Way too much potential.

He would have been interesting next to Davis, they don't really compliment each other but the defensive potential would have been crazy. He and Monroe should make an awesome duo with Monroe manning the high post and Drummond doing the dirty work.

Yeah, I have been tracking him, too. If the he keeps this up and Knight continues to improve the Pistons are dangersous. As long as Maxiell is on the bench. Monore should be an All-Star this year, btw. Underrated now, still needs to become a better defender. If he does that he's All-NBA. Paired with a freak like Drummond and all of a sudden Detroit's future is as good as anyone's in the East.

Definitely would've wanted him at 10. He's as much of a risk as converting Austin Rivers to the point and he has a higher ceiling. I'm not saying I dont like Rivers, I just would've preferred Drummond at that spot

My wishlist at #10 was Lillard, Drummond, then Rivers. I definitely wanted Drummond at 10.

I agree he is killing it but it is preseason, and i think everybody knew that if he dropped to the pistons at 9 they were gonna take him. Especially after management flew to New York the day before the draft for a private workout

Wrong. This board didn't think he was worth a top 3 pick. Which was right. Most ppl here (including me) were absolutely drooling at the idea of getting him at the bottom of the top 10.

Nobody said not to take him at 10. Most agreed that he was not worth a top-5 pick because he spent a year chumping it up on an underperforming UConn team.

I'm not. Go back and look. I certainly stumped hard against him when we were looking like the 4 pick. However, feel free to quote me anywhere that I said it would be a bad pick at 10. You won't be able to because it didn't happen.

Are we really implying that playing well in 2 of 3 preseason games wipes away a full year of half-assing it at UConn? Brian Roberts is playing well, too. Were we wrong to pass him up 3 years ago?

I was actually upset when Drummond was taken 9th. I was extremely high on him, and I was skeptical about Rivers ability. But when I saw how much Rivers wanted to be in New Orleans and how hard he works to get better, I changed my attitude on him. I'm now considering buying a Rivers jersey.
