You have to change things for tv. For example, if Dany's story would've gone down the way it had in the books, nobody would have been interested in her storyline. The changes are necessary to suit a TV audience. They can't get every single thing because of budget and brevity issues. You can't call it bad writing just because they have to adjust the story a bit.

Now get the frick out of this thread. There's no room for dumb motherfrickers who love to nitpick and bitch to come in here and bash other posters. Go frick yourself. I've never seen a valued opinion of yours concerning ASOIAF, so your presence here is definitely not needed. Don't come in here putting down other posters for disagreeing with your stupid frickin opinion.

And just for the sake of discussion, if anything I'd think the show is going to absolutely nail the Red Wedding. They've nailed virtually every major portion they've covered to this point (i.e. Ned's beheading, Blackwater) even if they've had to change/lessen smaller events.

If you're saying they're definitely going to frick that up, you're pretty much ignoring what they've done to this point.

The sad thing is you're the one whipping out the at a differing opinion that was hardly even all that critical of yours.

That's the last I have to say about it though. I'm not all hung up on having the last word like some and don't want to hijack what was a decent discussion even further.

The books portray her as a very nice girl as compared to the TV series, dont you think? I saw Season 2 before reading the books, so seeing how nice and innocent she was in the books really jarred me.

That's not how I read her. When Sansa spilled her guts to the Tyrell women Maegary seemed to take it in stride that Joffrey was a monstrous little count. That could have been naivety but I took it that she was knee deep in Lady Olenna's plotting.

Also, wasn't there someone present at the Renly/Maegary bedding who was pretty certain Renly was ready for action when they were put to bed?

Marg pretends to be a sweet naive little girl but she is anything but that if you read between the lines. I think the show has portrayed her in the only way possible to get that point across to the viewers

We should only witness it once right? After his fight with Sandor is the only time we should see it I believe. Before that we should just hear the rumors of him not being able to be killed.

Yeah, but it seems they may do it more than once for the show. At least, that's how I feel, just cause it'll be done for him and Cat. I thought it may be done more than once. That fight should be sweet too cause Arya will be freaking out and he takes some heavy damage from Sandor

I hope that the only time we see it is with beric after the Sandor fight. Before that just show him in positions that look like sure death for him and then show him with new scars in later scenes. Have the rumors play a large part in his character development, then have the big reveal post Sandor.

With uncat I hope to see beric and thoros come across her and end the episode with beric begging thoros to revive her and thoros refuses. The episode ends as beric kneels to do it himself. In Catelyns final scene of the season show her as Un-cat sitting in her new chair with the BWB kneel before her.

According to WinterIsComing, the Red Wedding WILL be in Season 3, and they are taking an entire 2 weeks to film the thing.

Um

The writers publically said the Red Wedding would be the season 3 cliffhanger more than six months ago.

I hadn't seen them mention it was going to be the cliffhanger. I think most knew it was going to be in Season 3 because of the way they're splitting up the seasons.

I would think it would be 8-9 episode though instead of the last just because they're going to want some kind of wrap up after the fact.

I think it would make for better television if they used it as a cliffhanger on the season finale. Particularly if they ended the season with arya getting hit by Sandor's axe but I think they have one more episode afterwards for fear of losing the non reader audience if they don't.

I think they with that Autumn Storms episode being 8, the RW will be 9, and maybe Arya getting hit in the back of the head with the axe in 10 (that might be stretching it though)?

Really it just all depends on what pace they take with the respective POVs.
