Ok, this is a spoiler on the production and what Season 3 will contain.

Even if you've read the books, but don't want to know exactly what events happen in Season 3 (ie don't get bumped to Season 4), do not read.

If you have not read the books, DO NOT READ.

SERIOUSLY.

You've been warned.

According to WinterIsComing, the Red Wedding WILL be in Season 3, and they are taking an entire 2 weeks to film the thing.

And...it appears from a set picture that Jaime has a body part not long for this world, so they won't change that.

If old news, sorry.

This season will be incredible. I think they will nail the RW. They have done a great job with large events so far

I'm guessing the Third Season will be extremely Arya heavy, while the forth will contain a lot of Tyrion.

And who the hell is playing the Red Viper? They better not skip over him since he was one of my favorite characters.

Haha, this season is going to blow so many non-book readers minds.

They better have him. I was so pissed when he died. I honestly haven't cared about anyone else dying to the point I am at in the books (40% through DWD). But that bullshite pissed me off.

We won't find out who is playing him till the next offseason I'm sure.

I was very hurt by that scene. I was pulling for him so hard in the book. When Gregor smashed his face in, I was emotionally damaged

Honestly though, I don't think the show will do as well with his death as the books did. The show has largely failed to make the Mountain and extremely foreboding presence, even to the point that I didn't realize that Tywin left Arya in service to him in the series. He should have been in the background during Season 2 doing all sorts of horrifying things.

All the Mountain will be is simply a thug that most the television audience will be fairly convinced the Viper will take out, instead of it being completely unpredictable like it was in the books. I was shouting at the book during that chapter, and I'd rate it in the top 3 chapters as a whole in the series.

That's true. I wonder how much justice they will do Ramsey Bolton. Some of that shite probably isn't appropriate for even HBO.

I am hoping that the splitting of Storm will allow them some time to display the full on evil rage of the Mountain. If not, Tyrion's trial will be severely lacking.

Yeah, but where could they put him? The Mountain doesn't show up in the book until the duel itself. I guess they could have Arya's story somewhat intersect with his, or maybe have him personally show up at the Red Wedding, but that's all I can come up with.

They are starting to take a lot more liberties with the story, so I wouldn't be surprised for them to insert something into the show.

Agreed.

I think they will add a scene or two to show how badass he is and make the viewers scared of him

But we get that from second- or third-hand accounts, not anyone's direct POV.
