the guy hit the nail on the head with several points .. most notably pointing out the fact that he accepts the fact that he will probably die early due to the effects of playing the game .. but he knew that going in and it was his choice to play pro football ...

Yeah, seriously. If Jefferson would have been hurt on 1/9, I would not have been happy he was hurt. I don't wish injury on the guy just because I think he was a bad QB. But Hell yeah I would have been thrilled that Jarrett Lee was going to get his chance.

ON 1/9 during the second half of the game I would have been happy but I would have felt really bad about it later.

I liked Mike Golic and Jaws falling over themselves agreeing with Winston.

what the KC fans did was pretty foul

I do love all the talking heads asking where is this coming from and what has happened to people.....

clearly they haven't paid attention to this society and what the politics of hate have done to this country

good for him. i feel like athletes tend to speak their mind about things that don't really matter, more often than not.

it's so wrong to cheer on an injury.

They were cheering Cassell's injury. All over the news last night. For what it's worth, KC's fanbase is awful. The biggest bunch of white trash I've ever seen. I've been spit on, pinched, had beer thrown on me, and a friend's wife called fat after KC losing a game. I went into the game as a neutral party. Will never step foot in Arrowhead again.

When I listened to Winston talk, I was agreeing with him. When I watched the link of the play above I really can't tell if he is right or not. They were definitely cheering the play at first. Hard to tell if switched to "cheering for the injury." or not. Is there an extended version when he walks off the field?

When the guy says "injury timeout" the cheering died down.

Am I the only one who thought he sounded, for lack of a better term, a little "faggy"? And not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not how I was expecting a huge lineman to sound.

I thought the same thing. Looks like Buffalo Bob from Joe Dirt: LINK

That being said, however, every place has its assholes, and I fully expect ESPN and the other networks to annoyingly talk this subject into the fricking ground all week.

So glad I quit watching ESPN
