Georgia tried to get Chavis 2 years ago. If you guys don't fix the O, I'd leave if I were him.

I'd leave if I were Chavis. He puts a great defense on the field but his boys are constantly out there due to Miles inept offense.

He could go coach somewhere else, probably get a raise, and have an offense on the other side that can manage to get a first down.

He needs to sit down with him and explain how easy his offense is to plan and scheme against

Tap the brakes now. He won't get the kind of talent he's getting here at most other schools- especially schools in need of DC's.

In all of the meltdown posts that I have read THIS ONE makes the most sense. Les obviously respects Chavis what is troubling is that this hasn't or isn't happening

Exactly. Maybe Chavis can explain to Miles that you can't run against 9 people in the box. Teams are allowed to stack 9 people in the box because we never spread them out VERTICALLY.

Chavis going nowhere...he's got a great gig: big money, great talent, total control of Defense, and job security.

I bet Chavis is just as frustrated as Miles is with the WRs that can't catch balls that hit then right in the hands. He probably is disappointed the OL can't execute a simple one on one block.

Face it guys. It isn't coaching or play calling we have some guys regardless of how talented they are that aren't executing in basic scenarios on the field.

People can blame it on coaching, but the coaches can't do it for the players on the field.

Last year we didn't have talented QBs. Now we have a guy that is decent, but the OL and WRs seem to just not be very good.

ummm, there is such a thing as spreading them out HORIZONTALLY also......but with our terrible passing game....they would probably roll a safety or two down in the box and still have us outnumbered 7 to 5 even if we went 4 wide in a run n shoot style. because our passing game scares nobody. now get the safeties out of the box in a 4 wide set then we could run all day.

Crazy talk. If someone like Leach is given full control of the O, you really dont think the product would be greatly improved?
