Gary may be right. But he's also a flack for CBS, which would like for everyone to watch the game.
So then why would CBS want Danielson out there saying that this game is going to be a blowout?
Danielson doesn't seem to be a guy that is a CBS mouthpiece. In fact, I bet CBS cringes at a lot of what he says.

this is not the transitive property. People need to stop making the mistake when trying to look all smart about the transitive property.
To review, this is the transitive property: Team A beats Team B who beat Team C. Therefore, Team A > Team C.
When people say the transitive property doesn't work, this is what they are talking about. However, using the same fact pattern, Team A beats Team B who beats Team C (who is a top ten team), Therefore, Team A's win over Team B is pretty good. That is not the transitive property. That is a strength of schedule argument.
Danielson is not saying LSU is automatically better than Stanford, he's saying LSU had a good win over Washington, as evidenced by UW's other win. That's how calculate strength of schedule. It is entirely appropriate to say LSU's Washington win is quality due to UW's win over a top ten team.
Sorry, pet peeve of the weekend.

Have to admit, that's a great point. When you've run the gauntlet that this team had to run last year, getting geeked over the schedule to date is pretty hard to do, no matter how much the coaches suggest otherwise.
Furthermore, I think Les doesn't get too worked up over these small-fry opponents---a key reason why LSU rarely really blows out inferior competition.
CLM and his team saves the excitement for when it counts.

100 percent agree with your post sir.

He knows what he is talking about. Fla will get the full wrath of the LSU football team.

I'd be willing to bet they spent about a day preparing for Towson, the rest of the week was Florida prep. That doesn't excuse sloppy play, but I'm sure the team was as into the game as the fans were.

I hate to be negative but 2 things stick in my mind, in both the CG last season and this season (maybe with the exception of the Wa. game), I do not see a sense of urgency in this team. Mettstache has talent but is non chalant at the huddle, and the OL is doing such a poor job in "protecting" him. We need to see more motivation, both coaches and players. Hope to see a turn around soon, the schedule does not get any easier.

I think the players were about as amped for this game as our fanbase was. "Hey man, you going to the game? Nah Man its Towson" "Hey Man you gonna tailgate for the game? Nah Man, its Towson...Hey man I got free tickets to the game in the lower bowl, you wanna go? Nah Man, its Towson

He shows that he doesn't give a shite. Body language at the games. I still like him, just my observation.

My only problem is even sleep walking we should have stomped a mudd puddle in Towson's arse. The O-line is a little scary but I know we can whip Florida's arse we just need to play.

there is NO way he said “LSU will roll Fla? He’s announcing the game, dumbfrick? he would be fired for a comment like that. There is not a college football pundit who would make such a comment with Fla. already having won 2 SEC games on the road.

So what was Gary's excuse for the Auburn performance?
Did he say anything about the Auburn game?
God forbid anyone say anything positive about LSU

Perhaps he meant the transitive verbs: "watch", "destroyed" and "beat".
But probably not.
