I will say, however, Mett is not getting any help from the coaches. The offense is predicably vanilla with little imagination. With the abundance of skill talent on offense, you would think the staff could figure out a few mismatches out there. Instead, the Tigers run two man routes with no dump-off outlet. Gotta get creative to help the kid out!!!

The people knocking Mett just don't know football
Mett went through his progressions on the long pass to Odell!
Moreover the fumbles were the results of sacks that's the OL
Fault he's getting no time to throw the ball .

He passed for 238 yards jl didnt do that in one game last year! If Mett had last years OL and Ruben randle his stats would be great! Mett on numerous occasions has thrown great passes with a defender about to hit him. How can he go through progressions when he's running for his life?

The receivers we have are poor they can't get open.

these QB's all had good credentials, Les Mile and his staff have zero ability to develop a QB. I have never seen such lack of competence on a coaching staff to do this. Why any QB would come here is beyond me. Those QB's that came to LSU received NO development, Miles has not put an offense on the field since he has been here.

Time for the 2 QB system. Have yet to see any backup throw a pass yet, but way pass due. Would like to see another QB throw a pass.

You must have missed Rivers earlier this year. But I am not anxious to see rivers. I would have liked to have seen how this offense looks with JR or Bolden at the helm. Not as a replacement for Mett but as a change of pace and experience there if the inevitable happens and Mett get hurt.

You people are f%king crazy. Mettenberger is much better than what we had last year. Reuben Randle was a bigger loss than most will admit.

I was one of those guys who thought mett was the answer and i admit that. Now, honestly, i feel like peyton manning himself would struggle here at lsu.

Much better than what we had. If JJ or Lee had given us the QB production that Mett has, their fan clubs would be erecting statues.

There are multiple offensive problems, the QB position is easily the most fixable using the same personnel.

Mett's mind fricking us . He's gonna come out vs. Fla
and throw for 300.

Seriously he doesn't look like the same QB I saw at the
spring game. Hopefully he got all the first year starter
jitters out and they have a great week of practice prepping
for the big game this weekend.

Clown needs to stop worrying about his image and being a tool and worry about being an elite QB or no one will give a rats arse about him or his malestaberger stache.

This was harsh but I can't say I disagree.

While Georgia and Alabama's qb's are studying film, our guy is dressing up like Ron Burgundy. Real cool. Maybe he can be a comedian if football doesn't pan out.

Good lord... Are you saying he is skipping film study to play dress up?

People who annointed him the Mettsiah and predicted he would win the Heisman are now pissed because he isnt putting up Geno Smith type numbers. There was no way that this was going to happen and fans are mad that the purple and gold glasses are cracked. Unrealistic expectations are the trademark of LSU fans and this is another classic example. He is throwing for 200 yards a game in a multiple pro offense, has thrown only 2 picks, and is completing 65 percent of his passes (would be around 72 percent if not for a ton of drops). Hes a first year starter and you are getting first year starter results. LSU is 5-0 and struggling early isnt always a bad thing. You find out what works and what doesnt and know where to correct and it helps in future preperation.

I like Mett. He's got some issues that I think will clear up with experience.

He's hampered by WRs who don't get open and then drop balls. I think he's got fewer throwing options bc the OL needs so much help in protection. Really the Swiss cheese pass protection is probably the root cause of our offensive issues.

What makes you think he is doing this? One picture?

Why can't he do both?

I thought with Krag QB play would be better. Who knows if Krags is the problem or not. But under Les we have always been at least a little sloppy and undisciplined on offense. I think the only real solution if for Les to bring in a OC with a good track record and give him complete control of the offense.

I don't understand how his stache or humor or fashion sense would keep him from playing hard or preparing. Lighten up. It's college after all.

I guess AJ McCarrons tat keeps him from being as good as Geno Smith.
